General Information: Alteño is an extra-large fruited poblano (Ancho) has good quality and heavy fruit. Fruit color matures from mid-dark green to deep red. The maturity is mid-early and it is suited for multiple harvests where it has the ability to maintain fruit size. The fruit have a classic poblano shape with broad shoulders and tapering to a point. They are firm, straight and have a high percentage of two lobes.
