General Information: These vigorous, spreading pumpkin plants provide big harvests of attractive 20 to 30-lb. (9- to 13-kg) fruit. Intense, bright orange pumpkins with defined ribs and string “handles” grow from 10-ft. (3-m) vines. Expect to harvest four or five from each plant. If you want to carve big pumpkins this Fall, plant Howden this Spring in full sun and be sure to keep the soil moist.

Idea & Tips: Water as needed all season to keep soil evenly moist, keeping your eye out for the first sign of wilt. Feed with a vegetable fertilizer to ensure your bountiful harvest.
